Everything stops for tea…
Afternoon Tea is one of the great English traditions. Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford and a friend of Queen Victoria, is credited with the invention of the daily ritual of Darjeeling tea and cake in the 1840s. In the West Country today, Cream Tea is incomplete without a scone, jam and clotted cream.
Here at Dormy House, Afternoon Tea has become an essential feature of our day. Between 2.30pm and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday & 4.00pm – 5.30pm on Sundays, you can take it in The Potting Shed, take it in one of our lovely lounges, or take it upstairs to bed!
We have Afternoon Teas to delight every kind of diner. We’ve created a serious Farmhouse Tea for those who want to fill their boots. Even those of you who suffer from a gluten-intolerance can join in the fun.
Our scones are freshly baked in our kitchen and the jam is made in our own kitchen, using fruit from the Vale of Evesham. Afternoon Tea at Dormy House is one British tradition you won’t want to miss.
