DORMY HOUSE LAUNCH SISTER VENUE

Foxhill Manor launches a new standard for weddings, house parties and executive events

Do you fancy hosting an event in your very own Cotswold Manor House, complete with Chef and Head Butler?  Foxhill Manor could be the answer to your dreams.  This Grade-II listed, eight-bedroomed home, complete with ballroom, media room and grand staircase, is available to hire for the first time in more than 100 years.

Foxhill Manor was built in 1909 in the Arts & Crafts style and is set at the heart of the private 400-acre Farncombe Estate with long views over Broadway and the Vale of Evesham.  It opens this month [May 2014] as a glamorous exclusive-use venue for weddings, house parties and top-notch events.

This £2.2m revamp makes it the third important investment in a year from the team that created Dormy House Hotel and House Spa. Cotswold stone mullions, fireplaces and other original features have been preserved, while interiors have been given a thoroughly modern make-over by English design firm Trevillion Interiors.

“We felt there was a gap in the market for an intimate and traditional venue, reworked to a very high spec,” says Chris Ward, Commercial Director of Farncombe Estate. “A great deal of care has gone into ensuring the house remains true to its heritage while creating an exceptional space for events.

“The setting of Foxhill Manor and range of activities available – from shooting, archery and cycling on the Estate and golf at the Broadway Golf Club next door – make it perfect for house parties and board meetings.  And without question, it will become the most sought-after wedding venue in the Cotswolds.”

Foxhill Manor will be operated by the experienced hospitality team at Dormy House, alongside a dedicated house butler.  Dormy’s Head Chef Jon Ingram will oversee the menus.

Guests must hire the whole house for the night (two nights at weekends) and are expected to include an international set looking for somewhere special to stay or celebrate. Numerous bookings have already been taken “off plan” for this stunning and unusual venue.

Features include a sweeping drive, sunset terrace for drinks or a marquee, exceptionally spacious bedrooms and suites, a media room with outsized bean bags, a ballroom licenced for weddings – and The Pantry, a cupboard full of good things to eat, for when guests get the midnight munchies.
