What a fabulous Hotel this is! We have stayed at the Dormy many times over the years and we are never disappointed. The position of the hotel is perfect for visiting the area by car or on foot. The restaurant is very good indeed but I would like to mention the lack of vegetables with the main course or at least the small quantity of vegetables. The Maitre D was efficient, skilled and friendly at the same time. Our room this time was above the entrance of the hotel and although I worried we might be disturbed by noise from below, we were in fact fine- all couples that night and all went to bed a bout the same time. I would recommend the rooms outside the main house all the same for greater peace and quiet.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Dormy House and can only say I cannot wait to return. My husband and I have just returned from a most relaxing weekend break, the hotel as usual is fabulous, staff attentive in such a discreet way nothing is too much trouble, so friendly and helpful, we had breakfast in the main restaurant which was gorgeous, the best Cotswold breakfast you can imagine. We had supper in the Barn Owl restaurant ujt of choice as we like the ambiance, the lounge with the roaring log fire and big comfy sofas and leather chairs is a place to dream of! The rooms, we always stay in the recently converted rooms have flat screen tv and are immaculate and cosy with everything you can ever ask for including very indulgent home made sweets and biscuits! We have already booked our return visit which I believe is our 5th and cant wait! If anyone asked where we would like to go as a retreat it would be The Dormy House…thank you to you all.

Just back from a one night Winter Warmer deal with my boyfriend at the Dormy House in Broadway. One word to describe our weekend – FANTASTIC. On booking, we were upgraded to a junior suite for free and were promised a glass of prosecco each at dinner. Very impressed. On arrival, we were taken aback by how beautiful the actual hotel building is. It is absolutely charming! The reception staff were lovely and extremely helpful as was the porter who carried our luggage and showed us to our suite.

The suite itself was brilliant! Fabulous decor and perfect lighting just added to our romantic break. We also had sole use of the moroccan steam room and sauna – a tiny little relaxation area in the main building which the hotel staff reserve for your privacy! It was bliss. And then came the 3-course dinner…….amazing!! The food was incredible and the wine list was huge with plenty to choose from (we can recommend the Tempranillo…..number 88!!). And the staff are great too – nothing is too much trouble. After dinner, we took our drinks through to the cozy lounge and relaxed before retiring to our suite around 11pm. All-in-all, a perfect day.

On Sunday, we were treated to a beautiful cotwolds breakfast and then back to the suite to pack and check out by 11am. We wanted to stay in the area and make full use of the hotel for the day so we took one of the detailed Dormy House walks down to the village of Broadway where we wandered around and had a pint in the local pub. We then trudged through the muddiest of fields to get back to the hotel where we got changed and sat in the lounge next to the fire for the rest of the afternoon reading books and drinking red wine (tea in the case of my boyfriend! Designated driver!). It was so relaxing.

Come 4pm and it was afternoon tea-time! The afternoon tea was gorgeous – a selection of finger sandwiches, 2 scones each with clotted cream and jam and a mini choc eclair! Faultless!

So, an absolutely fantastic hotel, brilliant staff and an idyllic setting – couldn’t have asked for a romantic weekend in the Cotswolds!
