DormyHouse has been voted number 2 in a recent poll of the Top Ten Romantic Hotels in Britain. I’m delighted that we figured so prominently in the poll conducted by TripAdvisor, the world’s biggest travel website – especially as the votes were cast by the travelling public.
As the TripAdvisor spokesperson commented, ‘the list is made up of hotels that are perfect whenever couples crave a few days away, offering the best romantic escapes whenever the urge may strike’.
Obviously our unique setting and the discreetly sophisticated style of the hotel contributed to our success – but I think that above all, it is recognition for our staff.
Their warmth and willingness creates a relaxed ambience all around the hotel, which puts our guests at ease. That, combined with the intimacy of our lavishly converted farmhouse, is what makes the Dormy House ideal for a romantic break.
