It’s our local and we love it.

Broadway is a picture-postcard village with a wide main street and dozens of individual shops and cafés. This was the village on which E.F. Benson based his Mapp & Lucia novels. It’s also home to the Gordon Russell design museum and the Ashmolean at Broadway.

You can walk to Broadway on footpaths that lead directly from the Dormy through the Farncombe Estate (40 or so minutes). Look out for the two traditional shopping nights in the lead-up to Christmas.

Broadway Tower

Head off to Broadway Tower for more beautiful views of the Cotswold escarpment. This is the iconic landmark of the North Cotswolds, with soaring views and a smattering of history.

The Ashmolean Museum

An independent museum in the centre of Broadway. The objects on display are on loan from the Ashmolean Museum. They include paintings and  furniture from the founding collections of the Ashmolean, given by Elias  Ashmole to the University of Oxford in 1683.
