Cotswold Hare Trail
25 March – 10 September
Brand new for 2017, the Cirencester March Hare Festival is running a Cotswold Hare Trail, sending its famous hares further afield! This gives you a fantastic opportunity to explore the far corners of the Cotswolds in your search for the hares, visiting towns and villages you may never have visited before. Go off the beaten track and follow the hares on foot, by bike and public transport with special maps outlining a variety of short and long trails around the region.
This year the hares will be decorated by our amazing artists to celebrate the outstanding culture and heritage of the Cotswolds . From Chipping Camden in the North Cotswolds, to Chipping Sodbury in the South, via Chipping Norton in the East and Stroud in the West see if you can spot them. Find all the five foot hares in a prize winning event! This is some challenge!!
As if that wasn’t enough many towns will also feature their own town trails and run hare themed events throughout the Festival. Maybe you will even bid to buy a hare at the October auction! Find out more by following the regular information on Trails and events on our website www.cirencestermarchharefestival.org.uk and our social media sites. Also check out individual town websites. Watch out for the Cotswold Trail app unveiling in the Spring. This is a brilliant way to spend your time – fun, free and family friendly with every effort made to ensure accessibility at each hare location.
