A new destination spa in the Cotswolds!
In the heart of the Cotswolds lies Dormy House, a privately-owned 17th century farmhouse hotel which has recently emerged from a complete transformation. The final stage of the works is the hotly anticipated opening of House Spa on 4 February 2014 – a brand new destination spa dedicated to wellbeing but with a real sense of fun.
Inspired by the stunning Cotswold countryside, award-winning Sparcstudio’s design cleverly brings the outside in with a contemporary, airy and light-filled space, natural earth tones and textures. The cast also includes Howard Spa Consulting – who specialises in the creation and operation of leading hotel spas around the world – and treatments by English brand, Temple Spa.
“House Spa invites a sense of calm and serenity; a place dedicated to restoration, health and fitness but with the opportunity to indulge in some serious ‘me’ time.” says Chris Ward, Commercial Director of Farncombe.
The heart of the spa is The Greenhouse – a stylish, relaxing spa lounge with uninterrupted Cotswolds views, a large fireplace and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto the spacious terrace. The Champagne Nail Parlour, partnered by Veuve Clicquot and playful nail brand ‘butter LONDON’, adds a touch of glamour and plenty of fun.
Divine, rejuvenating treatments are by cult brand Temple Spa and will take place in the ‘Suite of Treats’ – a suite of six treatment rooms. Temple Spa is a family-owned English spa brand devoted to preserving body, skin and soul, with products and treatments designed for de-stressing, rebalancing and restoration. Its extensive product range is rich in Mediterranean botanical extracts and includes the anti-oxidating Black Truffle. The spa will offer a wide range of Temple Spa treatments, including specially designed facials using the renowned Skin Truffle and Truffle Noir skin crème. The Dormy House signature treatment, Silent Night Lavender Sleep, is a 2.5 hour treatment using local Cotswold lavender. It includes an energy scrub and wrap, a facial pressure-point massage, an hour-long body massage followed by a foot ritual, bio-rhythm sleep sequence, a drift away treatment oil and lavender sleep pillow.
