A spa town with sparkle…
It only takes 30 minutes to reach the Regency splendour of Cheltenham from Dormy House and it’s well worth the trip.
Cheltenham is a stunning blend of tall white-washed buildings, tree-lined avenues and pavement cafés. This is the home to some of the world’s most famous festivals: Racing, Literature, Jazz, Science and Music.
Cheltenham has two main-stage theatres, a multiplex cinema and a thriving cultural scene. Originally designed by Regency architects as a health resort for wealthy tourists, Cheltenham Spa has outlived its 18th and 19th century heyday to become a sophisticated and very grown-up place to play.
Cheltenham Races…A true sporting high
Dormy House has always been a favourite place to stay for the Cheltenham Festival, a four-day feast of racing highs and sporting drama. The week’s racing, including the famous Gold Cup race itself, features the best and the bravest of runners and riders. Meanwhile, an enthusiastic chorus of punters is determined to have the time of their lives – and win a few bob at the same time.
We are only 25 minutes away from the racecourse and can arrange transport if required (additional charges apply)
